Mortage rate predictions
Here’s a quick update about my earlier post regarding the uncertain future of mortgage rates:
One reason for such bidding wars is that many buyers can qualify for tax credits of as much as $8,000 if they agree on a home purchase by April 30. Meanwhile, economists say mortgage rates — currently around 5% for standard 30-year [...]

How to read this blog
Just a quick heads up: Not all blog posts appear on this page. Check out the blue box on the right side with tabs on the top. I sort out things like tips so they show up all in one place and then I filter them out to avoid them showing up twice. In the [...]
Location or house? Which philosophy is better in Raleigh?

If you travel Hillsborough Street then you have seen the craziness for months now. The new round-a-bouts are looking great and the improved streetscape is taking shape. According to recent reports, construction on the south side of the street is wrapping up. Traffic will be switched to the south side for the whole corridor sometime in March.
To keep [...]
I want to buy a house but I’m too busy freaking out
AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!
Tension breaker, had to be done. Now that we have that out of the way, I heard this from a caller today that was interested in one of my listings. I almost had to tell them to hang up and call 911 because she was confused to a point I was concerned for her.
First time home [...]
